Travel: Australia - General

School terms keep kids in school and parents sane. Holidays can be boring to kids if they are left alone. Discuss vacation ideas and how to make good use of the free time for both children and adults.

I would say Nov\Dec since it would be late autumn \ summer in Australia.

Since your boys are 5 and 7, I would suggest Gold Coast. There are some theme parks there to make your boys very very happy. Mine was when he was there.

There are some tour package of Gold Coast that include Tangalooma Wild Dolphin Resort on Moreton Island where your kids will get to hand feed wild dolphins and see wild peligans.

Gold Coast itself is a tourist area, thus has lots of shopping malls, restaraunt and nice beaches.

if just gold coast alone without Moreton Island, 5 days is ok.
