Am assuming you mean Langham Hotel at Peking RdMomOfOne wrote:Hi
Am looking at hotels to stay too for my upcoming Jun trip. Any review on these 2 hotels:-
1) Cordis hotel
2) park Lane The langham hotel
Cordis is to Hotel Jen at Somerset as Langham is to Hotel Jen Tanglin (the former Traders Hotel).
Both are great hotels, but convenience-wise, cordis is better. Cordis lobby can be accessed via link bridge at 4th level of the adjoining huge Langham Place shopping mall, directly above mongkok station. Supermarket, bakeries, at basement levels. Fully sheltered access to train station, also located in basement somewhere. Surrounded by many cheap eateries and shopping areas. Only issue is this is the shopping mall with the escalator reversing incident a few months back where 18 people were injured. I think those were the same escalators which are used to go to the hotel link bridge level.
Langham Hotel is small but posh. Good for biz talks. Restaurant prices nose-bleedingly posh too. getting to Tsim Sha Tsui (TST) station requires you to cross a small lane to opposite bldg, go down to a short underground passage and back above ground again to get to Nathan Rd where there are several entrances to TST station. This underground passage also links up to TST station, TST East station and many other buildings within the vicinity. So Short walk mainly above ground if the weather is fine. But during bad weather, quite a long walk underground to TST station. It's actually a shorter underground walk to TST East station.
