O-Level English
Re: O-Level English
Thank you so much D3@n ...
I think my kid comes under category 3...he fails to answer the question fully. Hence, missing out full marks. Your feedback has been immensely useful. I will check if his English teacher can help him out.
Meanwhile, do you have any tutor to recommend in the east ? Thanks...

I am actually an English & Literature tutor myself. Teach in Hougang. Unfortunately I am fully scheduled until October.
I don't know any tutor to recommend in the East, but hopefully some member can help you out?

hi all. don't know where did I read this recently. It was said that students should not use what teachers have taught them in school for O-level. Reason being, it will pull their English O-level grades down. Is this really true?

Hi Parent who hv kids under Ms Felicia, May I get some feedback? How is her teaching method?
Re: O-Level English
hi there. You mean the Ms Felicia from Toa Payoh?piggydwarfs wrote:Hi Parent who hv kids under Ms Felicia, May I get some feedback? How is her teaching method?
I have a son in JC1 who's with Ms Felicia for GP and a girl in Sec 1 express with Ms Felicia as well. My son and his friends from the tuition group all did quite well last year.
For her teaching method, she uses her own materials/syllabus which are quite interesting and broad based learning. She will fuse comprehension, editing, compo, etc in like themes for broad based learning so my children both like going to her class.
But actually I think what is really really innovative are two documents called "useful vocab builder" and "useful corrections record". If I'm not mistaken that's what she calls them.
just my 2 cents

Yup my daughter also got vocab + corrections scripts from Ms Felicia. I oso noticed she's quite effective in engaging my daughter who is normally lazy like a log. Quite a lot of parents here r happy with her results. I hope this helps.
