Travel : Vietnam - Hanoi & the North

School terms keep kids in school and parents sane. Holidays can be boring to kids if they are left alone. Discuss vacation ideas and how to make good use of the free time for both children and adults.

I book a 6 day tour with a local agency in Vietnam, I stayed in Hanoi as a base, joined trekking in Sapa & a 2 day cruise in Halong Bay, this would be an ideal choice if you have a tight time frame, Sapa and Halong Bay are cool, i really love my trip. I found this agency on tripadvisor, they did the good job, here is the itinerary I engaged with https://www.bestpricevn.com/Tour_Best-o ... -days.html

Can someone advise me how much does an airticket cost from Singapore to Hanoi? Just want to know how much it differs between a normal ticket and a promotion ticket. Thanks!

This message is for Dora7:

Hi Dora7,
I have received your private message regarding Sparrow Travels. I have tried to reply to your message but somehow, when I hit the submit button, the reply remained in the Outbox folder. I doubt it went through to you.

I can ask Siang of Sparrow Travels to contact you directly. How can I get in touch with you?

We did a quick getaway to Hanoi with the kids a couple of years back. There were cheap tickets on Vietnam Airlines. We didn't know what to expect, but the flights turned out to be very good! I would fly them again.

It was a rather last minute trip, and we didn't plan to do much. Just wanted a get-away to chill out. We stayed at the JW Marriott in an Executive Club room (can't afford this in Singapore, but Hanoi still ok).

Took a taxi to the Opera House and Lake area. It was pleasant to walk around.

Also walked the Old Quarter a bit.

But we didn't really like it too much, so just spent a bit of time to take photos/videos, and headed back to the hotel. Kids would rather go swim, and adults go koon. LOL!

Not as easy to get around, so I'd recommend a tour, usually ends up cheaper because everything's included
