College Mgt shd tackle the disparity culture between IP n JAE now as its an issue brewing. Some JAE kids re feeling it.
Oh wow, so what my friend told me about her JAE child in Eunoia is not an isolated case. And it seems like the teachers are acknowledging this problem during the parent - teacher meet that they had recently.
We forsee such issue happen'g wif big cohort fr 3 IP secs esp de diff cultures between scgs and ch/sngs.
Many closed cliques aldy rootly formed, leaving JAE kids out.
Not so sociable JAE ones feel no sense of belonging.😞
Jc environment is 1 factor to consider when choosing a JC.
Ofc, if just go in to study n dm cant fit into Ejc culture, its k to go Ejc.

Yikes, I am surprised to hear this as most IP JCs have JAE students typically from two schools, whereas EJC's JAE students are from three separate schools, so I thought perhaps the JAE intake is more 'diffused' and less 'aggregated'.....

Actually I wonder what the IP intake is like at Cat High and SNGS - the SCGS IP cohort is quite small, at 4 classes.

But if JAE 2020 intake increase, the entry Cut off point will decline further

Not sure about other IP JCs, but this problem was created by the school too.
Right from the start, why must have one orientation for IP students, then later have another combine one after the intake of JAE students? Why can’t do one time altogether after the whole cohort was formed?
Sometimes the school keeping talking about their 3 feeder schools which unintentionally caused the JAE kids feel that they are just an outsiders.

Most importantly, when did that happen? Last year? 2 years ago? 5 years ago? There may be past cases of DSA IP kids who transferred to another IP JC, but I believe that MOE has since clamped down on this and now IP students cannot transfer to another IP JC at the end of Sec 4 (entered Sec 1 either through Sec-DSA or S1-posting). Can only go to IP JC if 1) via O level results, or 2) transfer at JC1 (maybe?)
It happened 2 years ago. The boy should be in JC2 now in a non-IP JC. He got into that non-IP JC via DSA to JC1.

Any reasons why? Non IP JC there are only a few. Without sounding ignorant, why did he give up a confirmed space in IP, go through DSA to gain admission to a non IP JC. My impression is that IP JCs are typically sought after and harder to enter. No?
