Yeah, I agree with floppy. But I still have like one problem -

I am pretty sure that at least 50~ people will get the exact same score as me. So will that like affect the posting of Secondary schools by increasing more ballotting? Because if you think about it the fewer possible scores there are the more people getting the same score as you. Can someone please explain to me cuz I'm a very blur P6 student lol, it will be appreciated if someone could help. Thanks!
In your example, 50 people get the exact same score as you. But those 50 people will not all be choosing the exact same list of 6 schools, in the exact same order. Highly unlikely as they may live in different parts of Singapore as you (travel distance to school is a big factor in choice).

So I hope that explains the very low possibility of someone else having the exact same combination of school choices as you. Only if such scenario happens will balloting occur.

We just have to adapt to this new system, no choice anyway.

But I get what u mean about wider possible range of outcomes (total score, school posting). Can calculate the worst case & best case scenarios like how u suggested.

Btw, my P5’s Semester 1 HDP shows the raw whole number marks (which is optional, according to MOE) alongside the AL band. How about your school P5?
Zac's mom, what is HDP?

All the best to the P6s who are having their prelim Orals these few weeks!

This year the kids need to keep their masks on during the Orals. DS’ CL teacher gave a very good tip during their Zoom practices:

Use your tone of voice to convey the relevant emotion/mood of the character/story, since you can’t rely on your facial expressions.

All the best!

Yes it’s as true as it always don’t rain the day you bring out the umbrella but rain when you don’t.

false

can be the other way round instead. Just prepare to your best, still have 2 more days to revise. This Thursday (12 August), then start 1st day Psle Oral

Whatever u have prepared, just do your best. Forget about which day is easier or tougher, because we cannot control what Oral topics coming out. The situation is not something that we can comtrol. Just do whatever u can. All the best to your child, this (Thursday + Friday)
