Whitening Skincare Products/Cosmetics
Recently my friend asked me to get her some whitening skincare products while I was in Europe. I couldn't find it everywhere, despite it is a very popular product here, and from an International famous brand.
I asked the beauty consultant from the brand's counter and was told that they don't carry whitening product - in fact, they are not allowed to sell whitening product in Europe.
Being me, I asked why. She told me that Whitening products are not approved for sale in Europe as the ingredients are cancer-causing!
If it is, why are whitening products selling like hot cakes in Asia?

thanks
May not be the case. If I remember correctly Caucasian's skin contain less certain pigment that is helpful to prevent sun burn and skin cancer (from overexposure to sunlights) than African's and Asian's.
It may be this different in skin composition that result in the different in approval for sale & usage.

I think the Europeans are probably thinking of skin whitening products obtainable only via prescription ie like those that Michael Jackson used. Ours are simply ingredients that help to block off sunlight from our skin hence lightening our complexion which can be easily obtained via counter.tree nymph wrote:

if it contains hydroquinone, this ingredient was banned in most countries,
singapore used to have products with this ingredient, but was banned too.
yes, i read in the net, in certain countries, is hard to find whitening products (even though it does not contain hydroquinone)
unlike in singapore, everywhere u can see them
for whitening of spots , i recommmend Lancome Spot Eraser,
after reading the reviews in the net, i tried it myself, delivers results....
but it is v ex, retail at $165 for just 30 ml
and after using for a while, the results slow down........
