DSA 2022

Unlike entry to Primary Schools, admission into Secondary Schools is based on meritocracy. PSLE results are used as key admission criteria. Discuss everything related to PSLE and selection of Secondary Schools here.

Thank you for the information, my ds is from SAP school, he scored AL 10 (M) for P5 SA2 and AL 9 (P) for P6 SA1. Trying dsa wushu for Dunman, VS… still considering third choice. He is keen in HC but I am afraid that the chance will be wasted.
As per Imp75 comments, I think your child's placing in the NSG and Singapore National Wushu & Sanda Championship are probably more important than the school's results for wushu DSA consideration.

The schools will look at his placing in these competitions first. If the competition results meet their expectations, then they will look at his school's academic result to be certain that he can cope with the curriculum's requirements.

Trying my luck to find out. If got EAGLES without any leadership roles, can apply for “Leadership and character” domain to IP schools?
Results for P5 SA2 and P6 SA1 is AL5. 😅

Skills in CCA (sports) plus shown leadership potential.
School doesn’t send for competition but he represented the CCA for a MOE related engagement.

Can apply. There's no restriction to who can apply.

Whether got chance, or can get selected or not, that's a different story.

We just got home from the SJI Open House today. I went with an open mind & did not influence DS either way. I was very impressed by the official talk given by the principal and school leaders. They explained everything parents wanted to know in an extremely clear manner.

The student tour guides & CCA reps were not all well-spoken, but they did all try their best to answer our qns.

DS really loves the school, surprising me. I am also impressed by their ethos not to leave any child behind. They do not segregate their OP and IP boys. The whole school gives off a very inclusive vibe & not elitist at all.

We will not be trying DSA Leadership after all (not high chance based on what we found out today). All the best to those trying. DS will pick this school if PSLE results meet the requirements (God willing).

Trust Zac and yourself, Zac will achieve an excellent PSLE exam results...just need to remind him to be more careful in answering questions when sitting for exam.
