Singapore Sports School

Having survived PSLE. we still need to network with other parents with kids in the same Secondary school. While giving our teenagers their own space, we can update each other about the school.

worst school in Singapore - don't go.
Can elaborate why please?

Academic coaching/teachers not up to par?

Or sports coaching not up to par? The kids are still going for some regional competitions or have they been cancelled due to Covid?

Or the admin/boarding/student morale is a mess?

It is not a worst school.
let me answer your question.
1. Academic Teachers are all graduated from NIE. They need at least certain number of years teaching in a MOE School before they can apply and teach in singapore sports school.
2. Most sporting coaches are ex-national athletes and/or are very experience coaches and a plus if the coach is a foreigner which coaches the national team in his/her origin country.
3. SSP has one of the best boarding facilities. the students are well taken care of. every level is categorize into houses. each house has 2-3 staff to take care of the students well being. They do make sure every students feel comfortable in boarding.

It’s the time of the year again. Show of hands who is applying and which sports? Am looking at Netball for my gal. She is really into it. Her eyes sparkle when discussing tactics with her team.

No much discussion here

Anyone have a insight on how the Track & Field academy routine and timetable will be?

Hi all, just curious if there are any parents here whose kids went for the Multi-Sport Academy 2nd trial last Saturday? Wondering if you have received any notification from SSP yet..?

Anyone with children in SSP at the moment? Is the experience still good as before in term of student development and school culture?
If we are offered a place, are we allowed to go through the DSA exercise for other mainstream school?
Usually how many students will get the scholarship per year?
Thank you!
