I think positive means the current year TUR is higher than the historical (2006 to 2008), meaning no good for current year registration i.e. less places now than historically.

Should be the sch staff, to be fair. I think the sch staff doesn't announce the name out loud after each "lucky dip". Instead, they add the name to the class list on the noticeboard behind/near them. They form classes as they go through the phases. That's why my DD is in the last class since she got in via Phase 2C.

This is my impression of how it is done, based on something read somewhere last year, before we did the registration for my DD. My DD's sch doesn't need to do balloting so I may be wrong or maybe different schs do it differently?

Ya, I remember reading a few pages before or maybe another thread in this forum (think it was Chief's post?) and it stated that positive is bad news for parents who fear balloting.

i think different school conduct the balloting differently. I recall sawing a segment of a school ballot in news some years back, the child name was read out.

If I am not wrong, Rosyth turned away close to hundred of PV applicants yearly so as to ensure PV's effort are not wasted.

Put in the another way, if you have been selected as a PV in Rosyth, chances of your P1 registration is pretty high.
Another reason could be they want to increase the number of vancacy for phase 2C, so they can attract more people outside 2km, hoepfully including some rich and famous :D

Oh thanks. If the Dev TUR is higher like Radin Mas 16% which is not a good sign for those competiting in Phase 2C? Ok can understand the balloting chart now. :celebrate:
