That is very very sweet of you to offer. Eventhough we are mere nicks to each other, I do feel a friendship which is more than virtual :snuggles:

It's ok. I will bring lots of tissue paper in case we don't ballot successfully

On a serious note, I still feel I made the correct decision. Now just got to leave it in the hands of God. If dd does not get into AT and ends up in some other school, then so be it. It could be that she will be happier in that other school.

Hi Furma-ma,

Good luck and keep us posted.

Have thots of tagging along with a good pal who is going on friday. Never been through such ballot before except seeing it on news. But seeing how people cried with tears of joy/ sadness.... I believe the feeling must be very very intense. Thought of giving them emotional support whatever happens. If they get, it :celebrate: If they don't, help them to move on to the next step quickly as phase C is next week. I must keep them rational as I am the "least" affected.

At this moment, don't think I can make it due to work commitments and I am travelling next week. Also.... I also feel very kancheong for her if I am there.... Not good for my blood pressure :nailbite: Anyway, still working very hard and see if I can make it on friday am.

But all the best. Everyone needs loads of luck now. You are very brave and courageous to take the leap. I would never dare to do that myself as I know I would always choose for safe choices hence my kids are in my primary school now.

All in the same boat lar, I just got lucky this time, got in without balloting.

I'm sure you've made the right decision and we never know if we don't try. Seriously, you just might be one of the lucky 20!

And like I say before, with the necessary support and love at home, any child can excel at any school so don't be too hard on yourself too if really can't get in.

I will  and keep my fingers :xedfingers:

Good luck and don't be too upset even if no, okay. Not the end of the world, just a Primary School!

hi all, I wishes all well in the balloting process.

I stay in bishan, within 1km of KCPPS. And I intend to put my boy in there. I tried to check with CH or even AT, and they flatly told me, unless u hit lottery, hard to get it so in order to save myself some stress, I decided to go into 2C. And amazingly, they pre-warn me 2 yrs ago. so I took their advice.
And while the hot CH and AT numbers are moving, no much for KCP and QYP. the vibes I am getting from some here is that KCP is marginalized and they can just waltz in 2C if they fails in their 2B application, I think that's unhealthy.

my questions,
I just want to know, for QYP, their numbers are quite discouraging and dismal. So given their large vacancy numbers, will they be then allocated/backfill by those who failed in the earlier phases? won't that leave a lot of disgruntled parents?

also,do parents consider that KCPPS has to move out of bishan for 2 years affected ur choice?

secondly, how good must the P1 exam results be enough for you to "jump" back to these "hot" schools?
may I ask, whether any parents/kids manage to do that? how good must the grades be? does that have to correlate back to the vacancies in the "hot" schools or they can just extend themselves to add one or two "gifted" students?

thanks
