boys : girls
25% : 100%
1u : 4u
4u - 1u = 3u
(3u/1u) x 100% = 300%

Ans : 300%.

A, B, C and D sat for a test and scored a total of 270 marks.
D scored the highest and B scored the lowest.
When any 3 of their marks are used, an average of 64, 62, 68 and 76 are obtained.
Find the total score of A and C.

Tim bought some chocolates and gave half of them to John. John bought some sweets and gave half of them to Tim. Tim ate 12 sweets and John ate 18 chocolates. After that, the number of sweets and chocolates Tim had were in the ratio of 1:7 and the number of sweets and chocolates John had were in the ratio 1:4.
How many sweets did John buy?

Need assistance in the following question
Q1. CHIJ Prelim Maths 2015
Q11. A pen cost $0.95 more than a pencil.
Cat bought twice as many pencils as pens.
She spent a total of $2.40 more on the pens than the pencils.
HOw many pens did Cat buy?

I used Units X Value method but couldn't solve it.
Hopefully, someone could guide me through it
Thanks

Shaded area = Area of big circle + Area of Small Circle - the two right angle triangle

Big Circle = 3.14 x 6 x 6 = 113.04
Small Circle = 3.14 x 3 x 3 = 28.26
2 triangles = 12 X 6 = 72

Shaded area= 113.04 + 28.26 - 72 = 69.3 cm2
