Area of triangle X = (1/2 )(14)(20-14) = 42

Area of triangle Y+Z = (1/2)bh1 + (1/2)bh2 = (1/2)b(h1+h2) = (1/2)(20)(20) = 200

Therefore, area of shaded part = Area of triangle X+Y+Z = 42+200 = 242 cm2
