2592 people attend a carnival. 5/8 of them are children and 1/4 are parents. The remainder are senior citizens. How many people at the carnival are senior citizens?

Fraction of senior citizens = 1 – (5/8) – (1/4) = 1 – ((5 + 2)/8) = 1 – 7/8 = 1/8

So number of senior citizens = 1/8 * 2592 = 324 #
