Question

Answer

Chief, from J to K, the temperature is at boiling point so it is still gaining heat.   Heat source is taken away from K onwards only.  (C) is heat loss due to freezing.     So the answer is correct (4) A, B, D

Boiling point gains heat.

Freezing point loses heat.

It’s a tricky question.  If (A) is correct then (C) should be correct too.  But it should be LOSING heat for both statements because it is cooling.  Unless the teacher is trying to be funny by saying that because it was taken off the heat source only from K, it was still gaining heat for JK.

This is the reason why primary school Science is so frustrating.
