Question

Answer

y = 2x e-x

dy/dx = 2e-x – 2xe-x

d²y/dx² = -2e-x – (2e-x – 2xe-x  ) = -4e-x + 2x e-x

y – 2dy/dx – 3d²y/dx² = 2x e-x – 2 (2e-x – 2xe-x  ) – 3(-4e-x + 2x e-x )

= 8e-x

A =8

Note: I use product rule for dy/dx and d²y/dx². Tks Prettyhomework for pointing out my error. Corrected. 8 is the correct answer.
