b) Area of rectangle at bottom = 1×24 = 24cm2
Area of a half triangle (at side) = 1/2 x 2 x 2 = 2cm2
Number of half triangle in one row = 2
Number of half triangle = 7×2 = 14
Area of rectangular paper left = 24+(14×2) = 52 cm2
