If the stall had 10u pears in the beginning, it had ( 785 – 10u ) apples in the beginning. 

The stall had ( 785 – 10u – 185 ) = ( 600 -10u) apples in the end.

The stall had ( 1- 4/10) 10u = 6u pears in the end.

Given

3(600 – 10u ) = 6u

1800 – 30u = 6u

36u = 1800

u  = 50

6u + 600 – 10u  = 400

400 fruits were left in the end.
