Question

Answer

a) Number of cakes sold in April = 9
Number of cakes sold in January = 4

% increase from April to January = 9/4 * 100
= 225% #

b) The total number of bars = 4 + 18 + 15 + 9 + 19 + 7 = 72

Average bars over 6 months = 72/6 = 12

Since average number of cakes sold = 60,

1 bar = 60/12 = 5 cakes

Since March has 15 bars, it must have sold 5 * 15 = 75 cakes #

PS. I feel this question is not well defined as it did not indicate that we are supposed to find the scale of the diagram.
