Question

Answer

If he had $ 32u in the beginning, he spent $ 8u on a shirt.

He was left with $ 24u after buying the shirt.

24 × 5/6 = 20

He spent $ 20u on a racket, a pair of shorts and two pairs of shoes.

If  a racket cost $ 12n, a pair of shoes cost $ 3n and a pair of shorts cost $ 2n .

20u = 12n + 2n + 2× 3n = 20n

u = n

Given 8u – 2u = 84.3

6u = 84.3

u = 14. 05

2u/32u = 1/16

He spent 1/16 of his money on the pair of shorts

28u = 393.4

 He spent altogether $ 393.4.
