Just to offer pictorial solving if algebra is a little challenge for P4 kids. Can also view as a bridging tool to guide from the familiar model/pictorial presentation to algebra solving.
Personally, I faced some resistance from my child to use try to learn another method when he gets familiar (or too familiar) to one method. Then I would use chances like this to ask how he will feel if he needs to draw 10 buckets… to get the idea that it is only to one’s advantage to learn different kinds of methods and use whichever one that comes in handy.

There was an equal amount of sand in each box in the end. Find the amount of sand in each box at first. acupuncture doctor near me

EQ1: 4S + 4T = 120
EQ2: 3S -2T = 0
EQ3= EQ2*2: 6S – 4T = 0
EQ4 = EQ3 + EQ1: 10S = 120
S = 12
