Question

sean (S) has 80% as much money as kezia (K) and 20% more money than Ezra (E). what is the ratio of S:K:E?

Answer

S has 80% as much as K

S -> 80%

K -> 100%

S : K = 80 : 100 = 4 : 5 = 12 : 15

S has 20% more than E

S -> 120%

E -> 100%

S : E = 120 : 100 = 6 : 5 = 12 : 10

S : K : E = 12 : 15 : 10

Hope it helps 🙂

If Ezra has 100u, then Sean has (1.2 x 100u) = 120u

80% = 120u

1% = 120u / 80

100% = 120u / 80 x 100 = 150u (Kezia)

S:K:E -> 120u : 150u : 100u = 12 : 15 : 10
