After selling 32 computers in the morning. He is left with 8 parts of computer.

Later in the afternoon,he sold 5 parts ( from 5/8 of the remaining) and should left with 3 parts.

3 parts is 1/4 of the total he had in the beginning, that means he had, 

3 parts x 4 =12 parts in the beginning.

In the morning he sold, 12 – 8 = 4 parts

4 parts = 32

1 part = 8

Altogether he sold 4 parts + 5 parts = 9 parts = 9 x 8 = 72 computers.#

5/8 of the remainder ——- (5/8) s 8u = 5u
1/4 of the computers ——- 8u – 5u = 3u
4/4 of the computers ——- 3u x 4 = 12u ——- 32 + 8u
1u ——- 32/(12 – 8) = 8
32 + 5u ——-32 + 5 x 8 = 72

Ans : 72 computers.
