area of 2 semicircles ——- pi x 8 x 8 = 64pi
cut and paste to form a triangle with base 16 cm and height 8 cm.
area of 2 such triangles ——- 16 x 8 = 128
area of the shaded figure ——- 64pi – 128 = 72.96

Ans : 72.96 sq cm.
