Pls help with the following question. Thanks!

 

The height of a cuboid is 3 times its breadth. Its breadth is half of its length. The volume of the cuboid is 1296 cm3. Find the total area of all its faces.

 

Answer

L*B*H = 1296

2u*u*3u = 1296

6u^3 = 1296

u^3 = 216

u = 6cm

L = 12cm, B = 6cm, H = 18cm

2 sides will have 6×12, total area of these 2 sides = 144cm^2

2 sides will have 12×18, total area of these 2 sides = 432cm^2

2 sides will have 6×18, total area of these 2 sides = 216cm^2

Total area = 144+432+216 = 792cm^2

volume –> 2u x u x 3u

               = 6 x u x u x u

u x u x u = 1296/6

                 = 216

u = 6

L = 12cm, B = 6cm, H = 18cm

Total surface area = 2(12×18) + 2(6×18) + 2(12×6)

                                   = 432+216+144

                                   = 792 

Ans: 792 cm2
