C  :  B           Total

At first          2  :  3               5

×2|      |×2

4  :   6             10

-180|       |-5u

Then             1  :   1             2  (1/5 ×10)

4u-1u =180

3u=180

1u=180÷3

=60

Cupcakes sold = 180 + 5u

= 180 + 5×60

= 180 + 300

= 480 (ans)

1.

T-shirts : 1u
shorts : 2u
256 – 32 = 224
224/2 = 112
112 + 32 = 144 (1 unit of T-shirts)
112/2 = 56 (1 unit of shorts)
144 – 56 = 88
88/22 = 4
144/4 = 36

Ans : \$36.

2.

chocolate : banana : total
2 : 3 : 5
4 units : 6 units : 10 units
(4 units – 180) + [1 – (5/6)] x 6 units = 5 units – 180 ——- (1/5) x 10 units = 2 units
3 units = 180
1 unit = 60
180 + 5 x 60 = 480

Ans : 480 cupcakes.

By unit            By value

TS-> 1u            TS-> 112+32=144

S  -> 2u            S -> (256-32)/2

= 112

1 unit of  equal no. of TS -> 144

1 unit of equal no. of S ->112÷2

= 56

Gap = 144-56

= 88

Diff = 22

? No of TS = 88÷22

= 4

Cost of 1 TS = \$144÷4

= \$36(ans)
