In 1 min,

Smaller pipe can fill 1/25 of tank

Bigger pipe can fill 1/15 of tank

? Fraction of tank filled

by both pipes in 1 min = 1/25 + 1/15

                                          = 3/75 + 5/75

                                         = 8/75

? Time to fill tank by

both pipes = 75 ÷ 8

                     = 9  3/8 min (Ans)
