(a)
5/8 + 1/3 = 23/24 = 69/72 (l of drink)
(1/3) x (23/24) = 23/72 (drank 1/3 of the drink)
(69/72) – (23/72) = 46/72 (the rest)
(46/72)/(1/10) = 6R7/18

(b)
(7/18) x (1/10) = 7/180

Ans : (a) 6 cups; (b) 7/180 litre.

5/8 + 1/3 = 23/24 (water + syrup)
23/24 x 2/3 = 23/36 (left after drinking)

23/36 divide by 1/10 = 6 whole 7/18
Therefore, she pour 6 such cups.

23/36 – (1/10 x 6) = 7/180 liter left
[left after drinking – (total volume she pour into the 6 cups)]
