Question

Tina and Carl had the same number of stickers. After Tina had given away 2/3 of her stickers and Carl had given away 4/5 of his stickers, Tina had 44 more stickers than Carl. How many stickers did they have altogether at first?

Answer

3 x 5 = 15
Tina : [1 – (2/3)] x 15 units = 5 units
Carl : [(1 – (4/5)] x 15 units = 3 units
44/(5 – 3) = 22
22 x 15 x 2 = 660

Ans : 660 stickers.
