let price of postcard be a

price of magnet = 3a

1/3 money = 15a + 11a = 26a

remaining money = 52a

3/4 of remaining money = 39a

total no of magnets = 13 + 5 = 18

3 x 4 = 12
1/3 = 4/12 ——- 5m + 11p
1m ——- 3p
5m ——- 3 x 5 = 15p
4/12 ——- 15p + 11p = 26p
1/12 ——- 26/4 = 6.5p
1 – 4/12 = 8/12
(3/4) x (8/12) = 1/2 = 6/12 ——- 6 x 6.5 = 39p
39 /3 = 13 (more magnets)
13 + 5 = 18

Ans : 18 magnets.

Cost of 1 postcard –> 1 unit

Cost of 1 magnet –> 3 units

Cost of 5 magnets + 11 postcards –> 5 x 3 units + 11 x 1 unit = 26 units

1 part of Money –> 26 units

Remaining 2 parts of Money –> 52 units

3/4 of 52 units = 39 units

39 / 3 = 13

13 + 5 = 18

May bought 18 magnets altogether.
