Answer

At first
J [-][-] (2u)

D[-][-][-] (3u)

M[-][-][-][-][-][-][-][-][-][-] (10u)

J [-][-] (2u) + 48 – 3

D[-][-][-] (3u) + 27 + 3

M[-][-][-][-][-][-][-][-][-][-] (10u) – 48 – 27

3u + 27 + 3 —–> 2u + 48 – 3

1u —–> 15

Difference between the amount of money that Marie and Jonathan had at first = 8u = 8 * 15 = $ 120 (Ans)
