Hello, can i get help for this question pls. Thanks

Answer

2/3C = 18
3/3C = 18 / (2/3) = 27

3/4B = 18
4/4B = 18 / (3/4) = 24

3/7A = 9
1/7A = 9 / 3 = 3
4/7A = 3 x 4 = 12
24 – 12 = 12kg  as the answer.

This is a before after question

LCM (After)

3/7 × 3/4 × 2/3 = 18/84

  After  tranf 3  After  Tranf 2    After   tranf 1  Before
A    18u  – 9u 9u   9u + 12u 21u
B 18u   18u + 6u 24u – 12u 12u
C 18u + 9u 27u -6u 21u   21u

18u = 18

1u = 18 ÷ 18 = 1

12u = 1 × 12 = 12 kg

We shall first find the LCM of the numerators of the left fraction, since they have equal ending.

We shall reverse the transfer from 3rd, 2nd and 1st order.

The 3rd transfer  left  2/3, we use 18u ÷ 2/3 = 27u

The 2nd transfer left 3/4, we use 18u ÷ 3/4 = 24u

The 1st transfer  left 3/7, we use 9u ÷ 3/7 = 21u
