Eyes on top of head: To observe their surroundings and remain vigilant and aware of their environment, even when they are in hiding beneath the water surface/ camouflage when they are preying on other animals.

Strong jaw: To bite, lock (e.g. gazelle or any animals drinking by the river) and drown their preys before devouring them. Essentially for feeding.

Eyes on top of head: To see their surroundings (feeding and maneuvering) which hiding/camouflage their body while swimming. To remain undetected.
