My girl is stuck with the question for part b. What is the concept to be used to solve this kind of question? What will be a good working for a P6 student?

30 x 47 = 1410 cm^3 as (a)’s answer

95 x 6 = 570
570 + 1410 = 1980
30 + 90 = 120
1980 / 120 = 16.5 cm as (b)’s answer

Tank A   47 30 1410
Tank B 6 95 570
Total     1980

a)

47 × 30 = 1410

b)

6 × 95 = 570

      120u

120u = 1980

1u = 1980 ÷ 120 = 16.5 cm
