Question

Answer

Use Supposition method

Michael did not answer 5 questions, that cost him 5 marks.

The 30 questions that were answered actually gave him 75 marks, before the 5 mark deduction. We will use this 75 marks to consider the remaining 30 question answered using supposition method.

Assuming all are correct, MArks = 30 X 3 = 90 marks
Difference between assumed marks and actual marks = 90 – 75 = 15
Difference beteween one correct and one wrong answer = 3 + 2 = 5
Wrong answers = 15/5 = 3
Correct answers = 30 – 3 = 27 ###

This  is a quantity each product question.

1. 35q. 5q unanswered.  30q answered .

2. Wrong 1u. Correct 30 – 1u.

   Quantity    Each      Product
Wrong  1u – 2 – 2u
Correct  30 – 1u 3 90 – 3u
Total     90 – 5u

90 – 5u = 70

90 – 70= 5u

5u = 20

1u = 20 ÷ 5 = 4
