Question

Answer

Suggested answer:

3 boxes –> 8 m

30 boxes –> 8m x 10 = 80m

5 parcel –> 6 m

30 parcel –> 6m x 6 = 36m

80m – 36m = 44m

a) 44 meter more is used.

Assuming 48m (6×8) of string is used,

No of boxes tied will be 48/8 x 3 = 18 boxes

No of parcel tied will be 48/6 x 5 = 40 parcels

40 – 18 = 22 parcel more.

If 44 parcel more, 96 meter of string is used.

No of boxes tied will be 96/8 x 3 = 36 boxes.

  b) 36 boxes tied.

48 is the lowest common multiples of 6m and 8m.

Need to find based on the same length, what is the difference between n of boxes and parcels.

Hope it clarify matter.
