Question

Is the correct answer (2) – B only?

Reasons:

(B) T – B has higher temp than A so heat travels from B to A in X

(A) NPT – Amt of heat energy is not measured by temp

(C) NPT – Temp in X can by any temp >A but <B, not just 85 deg C

Answer

A should also be correct, for same volume of water, the one with higher temp has more heat

When you pour hot water and cold water into your cup, it turns warm.

There is also heat transfer. But it can be any temperature that is appropriate. (Can’t be too cold/low)

Statement A is out. Because of the word ‘contains’.

Statement B is correct. Heat flows from the warmer to the cooler object until they are both at the same temperature.
