area of shaded part = (0.5 x 5 x 4)/2 = 5
or
area of triangle ACD = 0.5 x 5 x 4 = 10 (base x perpendicular height)
area of shaded part = 10/2 = 5
Ans : 5 sq cm.

1/2 x 5 x 4 = 10

10/2= 5 ans
