Question

Answer

I am assuming the fraction is 3/5. If it is not, then substitute the correct fraction into the working below.

  Chocolate Pies Apple Pies
At first 10u 10u + 185
Sold 5u 3/× (10u + 185) = 6u + 111
Left 5u 4u + 74

Left ->

5u + 4u + 74 = 146

9u = 72

1u = 8

Number of pies sold -> 5u + 6u + 111 = 11u + 111 = 88 + 111 = 199
