The answer key given is 1 but I feel that 3 is correct . when it’s melting heat is gain to melt the ice to liquid hence there is no increase in temperature.

The answer is 1. Because water does not start boiling from R to S

It starts boiling from Q to R

I am not sure but here is my Guess.

P to Q          Gain heat

Q to R.         Gain heat

At R it starts to boil but from R to S is only gaining heat, at S it doesn’t start to boil.
