Question

The answer key given by answer key is no 4 . However i feel that it should be no 1 cos equal forces exerted on opposite side.

Answer

Note that the ball is NOT stationary.

Since it is rolling at a constant speed, a force in the same direction as the ball’s movement will make it roll faster.

An equal and opposite force will cancel the effect of the first force.

So the ball will simply continue to roll in its original direction and at the same constant speed.

Yes I also feel the same way.

Equal forces exerted on opposite sides will make the ball stationary.
