Question

Hi just hope to clarify for the methods of pollination for Flower A: shall I put “Animal’ or “Insect”? Or either is correct? I see some reference books mention “pollination by insect” only, but some books also say “pollination by animals”.

Thanks in advance!

Answer

To be clear, insects are considered animals as well.

As for whether non-insect animals help to pollinate flowers, the answer is yes. Some of these animals including various species of birds, bats, and even lizards are important pollinators to many flowers.

So I would think pollination by animals is a more accurate term.

Thanks Adwin and Ra1n for the comments! In this case, I guess both by animal and by insects are acceptable answers.

I usually put pollination by insect. I only put animal when its dispersal.

Hope this helps
