Answer

Hi ozora, let me try to help you out with this question above. Pattern questions can be daunting sometimes. Some of the toughest problem sums that the primary school students face in fact come from these Pattern questions.

In order to solve these types of questions, students must be able to identify the pattern sequence, which usually fall into these 3 types:

-Sum of consecutive numbers

-Sequence of numbers with constant difference

-Square numbers

With better knowledge and understanding of these above, together with certain concepts, students will be able to solve Pattern questions with ease.

The sequence that i have boxed in Green, uses ‘Sum of consecutive numbers’

The sequence that i have boxed in Blue, uses ‘Square numbers’

If you are interested, I will be more than happy to help out. I can provide in-depth explanation and guidance.
