Wanted to buy: 16A + 20C

Scenario 1

After buying 12A, he needed $202.80 to buy another 4A + 20C

4A + 20C = 202.80

Multiply by 4:  16A + 80C = 811.20  (1)

Scenario 2

After buying 18C, he needed $202.80 to buy another 16A + 2C

16A + 2C = 202.80  (2)

(1)(2) : 78C = 608.40

1C = 7.80

(a) Cost of child ticket -> $7.80

(b) Amount of money Jackson has -> 18 × 7.80 = $140.40

(because he only has enough money to buy 18 child tickets)
