The Purple Train evolved from a regular enrichment centre to a distinguished Montessori-based Preschool. Originating with a small team of teachers, the school grew into a competent and caring team. The Montessori Method of teaching enables the child to develop and advance gradually through the planes of development.

Purple Train

Our aim is to constantly promote learning through the Montessori principles in an environment that is safe, structured, stimulating and flexible. That is why at Purple Train, we make a conscious effort to make individual teaching a core aspect of our teaching process as we understand different children learn differently. We shower great attention to our children and operate well below the state regulated numbers for Teacher-Child ratios. Currently our Teacher-Child ratio is 1:10 for Nursery and Kindergarten students.

We recognize and value the importance of parent involvement as an effective and vital role in each and every child’s development. We strive for a family environment that encourages communication and interaction between, children, parents and teachers at The Purple Train.

We also have a few Enrichment Programmes as part of the curriculum which helps in the overall development of the child. Music and Movement, Speech and Drama and I Create Tots.

I am unable to remove my previous review. Since my last review, the administrative standard of the school has dropped drastically to the point that I have withdrawn my child from the school. While the teachers do try their best, and they genuinely care for the well-being of the children, they are very limited by what they can do by the administration. There was an HFMD outbreak in the school mid-2018 where a number of children were infected and affected. Till now, to the best of my knowledge, nobody has been called in to clean the school professionally. The carpets have also not been shampooed since 2017. My child came home often with rashes on the limbs. The principal (S.C.) had no prior experience in running a school, and should not be running one in the first place. Highly unprofessional and inexperienced with poor interpersonal and management skills.
