Description:

Barker Road Methodist Church Kindergarten (BRMCK) was established on 15 th August 1967 with the late Mrs. Joyce Foster, Lay Missionary appointed as the first principal. The Kindergarten which is an outreach arm of Barker Road Methodist Church (BRMC), enjoys close proximity and spiritual affinity with the Methodist Church in Singapore and the ACS family of schools.

Barker Road Methodist Church Kindergarten is an established kindergarten registered with the Ministry of Education since its inception. Our strength is in providing quality teaching, promoting bilingualism, training our pupils to be self disciplined, caring, risk taking, knowledgeable, open minded, reflective, well balanced and God fearing individuals. Beyond intellectual rigour and high academic standards, strong emphasis is placed on nurturing the inner spiritual health and emotional intelligence of each child. Emphasis is also placed on the ideals of international understanding and responsible citizenship to the end that BRMCK students may be equipped with the essential foundation to become compassionate thinkers, lifelong learners and informed, effective contributors in local and world affairs in the 21 st century.

Our Curriculum is a bilingual (English 50% / Chinese 50%) International Baccalaureate Inspired Inquiry Based Curriculum delivered via Learning Centres using the latest international teaching methodologies.

It is an inquiry based approach to learning where the natural curiosity of young minds are stimulated as children are guided to take an active role in their own educational process by asking focused questions and exploring their environment to find answers to these questions. Attitudes and concepts are explored through the integrated studies of familiar themes.
