Our Beliefs

• Parents are strongly encouraged to work with the teachers as a partner in their children learning process and their full support and involvement serve as an important bridge to provide continuity between the home and the Centre environment.

We have a total staff strength of 10 persons. Right at the top we have the husband and wife team. Adeline Yip who is the Centre Manager and has been in this business since 2003 holds a Bachelor degree in early childhood studies. Richard Chai, an accountant by profession, joined her in the business in mid 2005 to oversee the operation matters. Both Richard and Adeline have great passion for children and this is evident by the children’s response each time they interact with them.

Next, the teachers’ team consists of 6 members. We strive to engage quality teachers with experience and qualifications. Passion for children is one of the important values we look for in our teachers. They form an important pillar for our Centre as they are the front line people who interact with the children and their families.

Finally we have the caring team that makes up of 2 members. They are primarily responsible for the food and cleanliness aspects of our Centre. To provide nutritious and balanced diet for the children, our caring team ensures that a variety of food and fruits are served in our meals. Special effort is made by the team to provide food that the children enjoy. All our meals and snack are prepared fresh daily by our caring team.

We strive to provide quality and relevant programs for our children of all ages. Children grow and develop through active exploration of the surrounding in a safe and nurturing setting. Ultimately, every child is enrolled to a primary school and as such we strive to prepare the children for primary 1 and his journey thereafter.

In view of this, we have adopted the Townforkids curriculum into our core program from year 2006. My Cradle is a licensed centre for Townforkids curriculum.
We use different teaching strategies and technique in imparting skills and knowledge to our children. Such strategies and technique are constantly reviewed and adapted to our children’s needs. Our program includes the followings:

We are using Scroll books for both our English and Mandarin reading programs. Chinese calligraphy and abacus are being taught at our Centre as part of our enrichment program for our K2 full-day program children.
