Hi, would anyone of you like to contribute... for reference purpose only... since every family is different...

At what age do you allow your girl to

1) use your facial cleanser, etc
2) put on make up
3) apply nail polish
etc etc

I would like to share something which is off topic...
Yesturday while driving my 9 yr old girl back home, I told her to be aware of pervert men. So after about 5 mins after my talks, my girl suddently said to me,' Mummy, you don't worry..I am not pretty. I am just chubby...'..
And I was :rotflmao: .... Then I told her pervert men don't attack pretty girls only.... :slapshead:

1) Maybe when she's about 10. But not use mine, will get her smthg suitable for her skin type
2) Umm......She already started in K2. Little bit of eye shadow, blusher, lip gloss, on special occasions like her birthday and CNY.
3) She does that during school hols now.

But I guess she will get over the novelty of it soon.

But seriously, makeup, nail polish, hair, all these, when she is in tertiary.

I will only allow when she's 16. I don't even use nail polish myself...

1. started using during Dec hol when in P2. I've one tube in her bathroom

2. apply make up if special occasions. I think since preschool

3. I can't stand the smell of nail polish. Nail polish remover is even worst, cannot breathe!

At what age do you allow your girl to ..

1) facial cleanser - Pri 6 or Sec 1 (depending on her complexion then)

2) put on make up - Definitely not for Pri school, unless it's a costume party. Otherwise, light make-up when she needs to attend parties (when she's in sec sch, in her teens).. otherwise, out of school, simple tinted lip gloss (also in teens).

3) apply nail polish - During school hols, I will allow her to apply for the fun of it, even in Pri sch.

I've never forbidden these but I won't share mine. Not hygienic. Anyway, I dun have much to share... I have problems locating my eyeliner on the rare occasions when I need it. The Daughter is like me - a slob. Never asked for make-up even for prom night.
