I think to many people, making it to NUS medicine is better than a lot of Ivy Leagues imhoSerafiel wrote:haha, i didn't know you like K-Drama.
I'm not likely to go Ivy Leagues anyway, since I'm not rich, but making it to NUS Medicine Faculty would be nice
Student Serafiel : Introduction?
well, realistically speaking the chances of me going there is what, 2%? At least increased from 0%, and that's cause I went to HC, where traditionally more people got in.
So that's why my parents think getting other scholarships to ivy leagues is actually easier, not to mention more prestigious (though I like NUS more?)

Yes I do like dramas of K, HK and China's too....because life is a drama ma..Serafiel wrote:haha, i didn't know you like K-Drama.
I like too, especially those ancient period dramas (like Queen Seon Deok) but workload in JC is very heavy, no time to watch
My parents always tell me to compete with the top, not with the bottom, so now I'm super "critical" of my own "achievements". My mum felt the same way too, that I could do better.

It's good to have aspirations and aim high. As long as you feel that spurs you on instead of getting you down, then do what you need to. Also, be careful what community you are sharing this with. In the company of same league, perhaps they will agree with you that you can do better, but with the wrong league, they will be upset with you for not being satisfied. Fine line to balance. I am speaking from experience. Once in sec school I brought back a report card that my brother bashed flatly that I did no good. But in school, it was already the best amongst my classmates...when I lamented in front of them, I became ostracised after that. I learnt my lesson.
All the best to becoming another doctor in SG!!
Wish you all the bestSerafiel wrote:well, realistically speaking the chances of me going there is what, 2%? At least increased from 0%, and that's cause I went to HC, where traditionally more people got in.
