Hi... She's the only specialist there when we saw her recently. I'll call the clinic & update the thread in a while...

Hi parents,

Anyone can recommend a good dentist for braces? We’re living at west.

Thanks

Do you have any orthodontist in private practice to recommend?

DS is currently wearing braces. His current dentist (dentist, not orthodontist) said that DS's current teeth alignment is the best he can do. However, I am not satisfied because I think DS's teeth are not properly aligned yet. I had gone to National Dental Centre to get a second opinion. The orthodontist there told us to tell our current dentist to put rubber band on DS's braces. But because our dentist is not an orthodontist, I am afraid he doesn't know how to do and I also don't want to argue with him. So I think I'd might as well change to an orthodontist in private practice. The orthodontist at NDC told us that it is not worth it to see an orthodontist at NDC because we need to sign up for a full package while DS only needs a little bit more adjustment.

As such, can a kind soul recommend me an orthodontist at a private practice? Thank you.

Anyone knows what's the difference in the tooth before and after root canal treatment?

daughter will be having braces in June by a trusted orthodontist.
the school nurse referred her to HPB (health promotion board) for braces...but the ones who will be doing so are not orthodontists. :nailbite: :dowan: she told my daughter it will be cheaper.

daughter accompanied her classmate to the school dental clinic (this girl is not afraid to visit the dentist).
her classmate was supposed to have a filling done. guess what, the nurse did the filling on the WRONG tooth :yikes: after the filling was done, nurse told the girl she needed to remove the filling and confessed it was done on the wrong tooth.
can you imagine if the nurse remove the wrong tooth or an unnecessary removal?

I will not take risks where health is concerned especially for kids.

Can dental nurses do procedures a dentist shld be doing? I think it’s professional misconduct! Shld be reported to SMA to prevent future mishaps!

that school nurse told my daughter to visit HPB to get braces done...I was like 'no way'!
the one who does braces should be an orthodontist, and not a dentist. no offence to anyone here.
even though daughter's teeth is not complicated like son, I don't trust one who is not trained in this field.
it was mentioned in the ST a boy's teeth were removed unnecessarily. I pity him.

I recently read this article about wisdom teeth. My DD has her wisdom tooth erupted and we did not know what to do. Good thing there's no complication and we did not have to get it extracted.
